As you may have read, I added stats to the sidebar recently. The ones on this page show the stats for the development blog, because this forum is a subset of it. What do you think? Would you like more stats (# of categories, posts, etc.)? Are there too many view-related stats; should it just be the number of pageviews, not views or pageviews today? Or perhaps the stats don’t even deserve the sidebar, and should be relegated to the footer. I’m all ears.

Just wanted to keep you all posted; I removed the hit counters a while back when I switched to full HTML caching for the site. It’s worth it because it makes the site really fast. There are still stats for posts, pages, and comments, but I’ve added a word counter and spam comment (Akismet) counter now too.
